Friday Flips #100: Science Comics

On one of our many visits to the national library during our previous trip back to Singapore, N discovered the Science Comics series, and fell in love with them. He managed to borrow a few titles, and was thrilled that his school library here in Jakarta also stocked some of the titles.

These Science Comics are really interesting, as they present facts in relatively simple language, and illustrate them using colourful comics. N has been hooked to them, and even asked me to buy some of his favourite titles online, so that he can reread them whenever he wants.

At the moment, N prefers reading comic books to chapter books, so I’m glad he has found this very interesting series of comic books. He also enjoys non-fiction quite a bit, and these books feed his curiosity for facts, much better than I can. I’ve actually been learning some rather interesting facts about sharks and plants, thanks to the random bits of facts that N tells me about from these books. Guess I should start reading his comics too, huh?

Happy reading!
