Filling my Nutrition Gaps with Centrum® for Women

I’ve often heard people saying that you don’t need to take multivitamins if you eat a healthy and balanced diet, but I personally find it difficult to eat a wide variety of food daily, so I’ve been on the lookout for a good multivitamin to take. I used to take a prenatal multivitamin, mainly because I was nursing the twins, but now that I’m only comfort nursing Meimei, I decided to look for a smaller-sized tablet that caters to MY personal needs, and Centrum® for Women seems to fit the bill.

Centrum® has been in the multivitamin business for a long time, and is the world’s No. 1 multivitamin brand (based on IQVIA OTC Global Analysis June 2018) so I naturally checked out their range online before going to the pharmacy. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they now have Centrum® for Women, which is specially formulated for women, with more calcium, magnesium, and Vitamin D. I didn’t know why magnesium is important, but I did some research and found that it is a mineral that supports hundreds of chemical reactions in our body, fights depression, and improves PMS symptoms. (Read more about magnesium in this article HERE)

Centrum® for Women

As a Stay-At-Home-Mum (SAHM) to three active children, I find myself constantly trying to keep up with them. There is always something to do, and someone to tend to. Even when they are all in school (the twins FINALLY started a four-hour daily N1 programme in July), there are errands to run, and of course, the “mental load” to handle. (Read about what the mental load is HERE)

I think any mum will tell you that mums are the ones who cannot afford to fall ill, because the household goes into absolute chaos without mummy around to deal with everything. My kids don’t have the strongest immune systems, which means there’s frequently at least one sick kid in the house. The three of them play/eat/sleep together, so the germs basically make their way around quite easily, and I have to make sure that I do everything possible NOT to get infected by their germs. I don’t have lightning fast reflexes to avoid getting sneezed or coughed on, so the next best thing for me to do is to load up on water, take a multivitamin, and pray for the best.

The reasons why I need to take multivitamins!

I need to be able to survive the mess created by these two

I’ve been taking Centrum® for Women for almost a month now, and even though all three kids have battled various respiratory infections during this period, I’ve thankfully been able to avoid catching their bugs. I read that it’s advisable to take magnesium and calcium supplements at night, so I take my multivitamin after dinner, and I think it helps me to fall asleep more easily, as magnesium is supposed to help in relaxing muscles and relieving anxiety.

If you’re looking for a multivitamin to fill your nutrition gaps, do check out Centrum®’s range of multivitamins, as they have specially formulated ones for both men and women, including those aged 50 and above. We have different needs at different stages of our lives, so I really appreciate that Centrum® has got us covered.
