Disclaimer: I’m not trying to brag about my kid here. Those of you who know us/him personally will know that he really is quite a cheerful little boy who smiles, giggles, and laughs quite readily.
C was playing with Noah and the little boy was laughing away as usual.
C: Everything is funny to you! You must have gotten your sunny disposition from me.
Me: HUH? Are you kidding? Which part of your disposition is sunny?
C: What? I’m how cheerful!
Me: Yeah, right. Please. He definitely got his cheerfulness from me, okay.
We were in the car and I was trying to get Noah to calm down and take a nap. He, however, just wanted to play, so he kept making funny faces at me and giggling uncontrollably.
Me: Aiyoh, why are you so playful?
Noah: *giggle giggle giggle*
Me: Seriously. I wonder where you got your playfulness from.
C: Ey, when you say you wonder where he got it from, you mean he must have gotten it from me instead, right?
C: It’s true! If it’s a good trait, you would have already said that he got it from you.
